Our Goals
Family Voices of Ohio Goals:
- Assure high quality comprehensive, affordable, community based, culturally competent, family centered health care to all children, but especially those with special needs.
- Assure early access to appropriate screening, diagnosis and treatment for all children, especially those with unique needs
- Create a partnership with health insurers to provide appropriate services to children with special health care needs
- Collaborate with Support and Advocacy Organizations which have like purposes
- Form networks of families throughout Ohio focused on the unique needs of children and the families who are raising them.
- Provide family to family information about accessing services and supports to assure optimum health for children with unique needs
- Assist families in navigating the health care system, both public and private
- Collaborate with Professionals who are devoted to the service of children who have special health care needs and their families.
- Raise awareness of the community at large and policy makers of the needs and the system gaps effecting children with special health care needs.
- Serve as the State of Ohio Chapter of the national organization of Family Voices
